Young cabbage stewed with red beans
Ingredients
- White Cabbage 1 piece
- Broccoli 1 piece
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Sweet Pepper ½ piece
- Canned Baby Beets 1 can
- Salt to taste
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 1 can
- Grapeseed Oil 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thinly slice the onion and sauté it in grapeseed oil for 4 minutes over high heat.
Step 2
Chop the cabbage, slice the pepper, and separate the broccoli into florets. Add everything to the onion and sauté for 7-10 minutes until the first golden crust appears, then reduce the heat to medium.
Step 3
Add half a can of tomatoes and a little water, and stew while stirring constantly.
Step 4
After 7 minutes, add the beans, the remaining tomatoes, and salt. Stew for another 10 minutes until fully cooked.
Step 5
It can be served as a standalone dish or with a healthy side – wild rice, buckwheat porridge, or boiled potatoes.
