Fruit, Oat, and Seed Bars
Ingredients
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Corn Syrup 3 tablespoons
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
- Oats 10 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
- Chopped Walnuts 5 oz
- Sesame Seeds 0 oz
- Dried Cranberries 0 oz
- Apricots 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160°C. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the sugar, corn syrup, and butter until the sugar and butter are completely melted. Mix the oats, raisins, walnuts, seeds, and cranberries in the saucepan until they are fully coated in the oil.
Step 2
Spread the oat mixture onto a baking tray measuring 23 x 23 cm. Sprinkle the apricots on top, then layer the remaining oat mixture over it. Press the mixture down with a metal spoon. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 16 bars with a sharp knife.
