Description

White Sausage in Beer

Ingredients

  • Sausages 5 pieces
  • Onion 2 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Light Beer 1 cup
  • Mustard Greens 5 teaspoons
  • Honey 3 teaspoons
  • Taco seasoning mix a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pierce each sausage with a toothpick (this prevents them from cracking during baking). Peel the onion, slice it into thin half-rings, and sauté in heated vegetable oil until the onion becomes translucent.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the mustard and honey. Place the sautéed onion in a heatproof dish, then lay the sausages on top. Pour in the cup of beer, and brush the sausages with the mustard-honey sauce (you can do it the other way around: first brush, then pour in the beer — it doesn't matter. Sprinkle everything with a pinch of the fiery spice blend.

Step 3

Place the dish in a preheated oven at 355°F for 45 minutes.

Step 4

Serve the dish hot with a slice of fresh bread.
