Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes, wash them well, cut into strips or medium-sized cubes, cover with water, and set aside.
Step 3
Wash the meat thoroughly under running water, dry it, cut into small portion-sized pieces, place in a frying pan, add 50 ml of vegetable oil, and fry the meat on medium heat until golden brown on all sides with the lid off.
Step 4
Transfer the fried meat to a baking dish where the stew will be cooked, and season with salt to taste.
Step 5
Cut the bacon into small cubes and add it to the frying pan, fry a little to render the fat.
Step 6
Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the fat. Peel and wash the carrot and onion, cut into cubes or strips, add to the pan, and fry until golden.
Step 7
Peel the garlic, cut it into small cubes or strips, and add it to the baking dish with the fried meat. Wash the chili pepper well, remove the seeds and stems, cut into small cubes or strips, and add it to the meat.
Step 8
Wash the bell pepper well, remove the seeds and stems, cut into small cubes or strips, and add it to the dish with the prepared ingredients, then pour in 100 ml of tomato juice.
Step 9
Drain the water from the potatoes, season lightly with salt, and add them to the dish. Place the fried carrot and onion on top of the potatoes and mix slightly.
Step 10
Make incisions in the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them for 5 minutes, remove from the water, peel, and cut into wedges. Place the prepared tomatoes on top of the potatoes with the carrots and onions, add the bay leaf and whole allspice.
Step 11
Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake in the oven at 355°F for about 40 minutes. Serve warm or hot.
