Vegan dumplings filled with a savory mixture of potatoes and mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 15 oz
  • Water 5 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Potato 20 oz
  • Porcini Mushrooms 15 oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Dill 0 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Pour 30 ml of oil into the water, add salt, and stir until the salt is dissolved.

Step 3

Pour the water into the flour and knead a stiff dough.

Step 4

Transfer the dough to a bag and let it rest for 40–60 minutes. During this time, knead the dough twice.

Step 5

Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water until tender.

Step 6

Finely chop the onion and mushrooms.

Step 7

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until golden brown.

Step 8

Add the mushrooms to the onions and sauté for another 5–7 minutes.

Step 9

Peel the potatoes and mash them into a puree.

Step 10

Combine the puree with the mushrooms and onions, add finely chopped dill, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 11

Roll the dough out into a thin sheet and cut out circles of the same size. You can cover them with plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out.

Step 12

Place a spoonful of filling on the dough circle and seal the edges tightly. Repeat this process for all the dumplings.

Step 13

Place the dumplings in boiling salted water and cook for 3 minutes after they float to the surface.

Step 14

Serve the vegan dumplings garnished with chopped dill.
