Veal Schnitzel
Ingredients
- Butter 10 tablespoons
- Veal Tenderloin 20 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Breadcrumbs 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 8 tablespoons
- Lemon 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until it stops foaming. Pour the melted butter into a bowl and set aside.
Step 2
Pound the veal pieces (they should be about 5 mm thick), season with salt and pepper. Place the flour on a flat plate and set aside. In a shallow bowl, lightly beat the eggs and set aside. Dredge each piece of veal in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip in the egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Step 3
In a large heavy-bottomed skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of melted butter and 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil over high heat. Fry the veal until golden brown, turning the pieces only once. Place the cooked pieces on paper towels.
Step 4
Arrange the veal on plates and serve with half a lemon. Enjoy your meal!
