Description

Cordon Bleu can also be made with chicken. Veal exudes luxury, and I love that.

Ingredients

  • Ham to taste
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Hard Cheese to taste
  • Wheat Flour to taste
  • Breadcrumbs to taste
  • Safflower Oil to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Veal Fillet 4 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare everything for breading. It's most convenient to use three plates: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.

Step 2

Pound the veal. Place the piece between two sheets of parchment paper and gently flatten it with something flat and heavy. Avoid using a meat mallet with spikes, as they can tear the meat fibers. The veal should be no more than 5 mm thick.

Step 3

Lay ham on the meat, then place cheese on top. After that, roll everything up into a roulade. The meat should bond well, so be bold.

Step 4

Coat the patties in flour. Next, dip them in beaten eggs and place them on a plate with breadcrumbs. Then, repeat the process, but this time without the flour. Now we have a crispy coating.

Step 5

Place the cordon bleu in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Step 6

In the meantime, heat a 1 cm layer of oil in a skillet, and preheat the oven to 355°F.

Step 7

Quickly fry the cordon bleu in oil until golden brown.

Step 8

Cook the patties in the oven until done, for 5 to 7 minutes.
