Main Dishes • European
Description
Bulgur is rich in B vitamins, vitamin K, PP, and carotenoids. Additionally, it contains the following trace elements: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and iron.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet 15 oz
- Fresh Mushrooms 10 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 5 cloves
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Spices to taste
- Olive Oil 4 spoons
- Bulgur 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and sauté the turkey pieces for about 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion, mushrooms, and garlic to the turkey. Sauté all the ingredients for 7 minutes. They should turn golden but not too browned.
Step 3
Pour a little water into the skillet and simmer the turkey with the mushrooms over low heat, covered, for another 7 minutes until it becomes tender.
Step 4
Then add salt, spices to taste (black or red pepper, herbs), and cream (at least 20% fat to prevent curdling) to the turkey with mushrooms. Simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
While cooking the turkey, heat a saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and sauté the bulgur for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 6
Add hot (boiling) water to the bulgur, using 1.5 times the volume of the grain. Cook for 12-15 minutes. The grain should be fluffy.
Step 7
Arrange everything beautifully on the plates. Garnish with herbs and fresh vegetables, and enjoy the delicate combination of bulgur and turkey with mushrooms in a creamy sauce.
