Turkey Steaks with Orange Juice
Main Dishes • American
Description
Turkey steaks marinated in fresh orange juice, grilled to perfection, and served with a side of seasonal vegetables.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet 20 oz
- Paprika to taste
- Oranges 1 piece
- Nutmeg to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
- Breadcrumbs 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the turkey fillet into pieces about 1–1.5 cm thick, resembling steaks.
Step 2
Gently pound it (I used the flat side of a meat mallet).
Step 3
Rub with salt and paprika.
Step 4
Place in a container. Pour orange juice over the top (you can squeeze it by hand). If the fruits are small, use two. Add nutmeg and oregano to taste. Mix and press the meat down from above.
Step 5
Marinate in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.
Step 6
Next, remove the meat. In a bowl, whisk together two eggs. On a plate, spread out the breadcrumbs. Then, dip the meat first in the egg, then coat it in the breadcrumbs and place it on a preheated skillet or grill, having previously brushed the surface with olive oil (sunflower oil can also be used, depending on your preference). Fry on both sides until a light golden crust forms.
