Description

Turkey Roll in Bacon

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 1 piece
  • Bacon 5 oz
  • Prunes 0 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Sweet Red Onion 1 head
  • Chicken fillet 5 oz
  • Ground Nutmeg a pinch
  • Sour Cream 0 oz
  • Brown Sugar 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the turkey fillet (breast) lengthwise, not all the way through, leaving 3–4 cm. Open it like a book, and pound it from the edges to the center. Lightly coat the inside with olive oil (mayonnaise can be used instead), season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with nutmeg, and add the pre-soaked (15 minutes) prunes.

Step 2

Finely chop the thigh fillet and sauté it with onion and sour cream, adding a little sugar. Place it on top of the prunes.

Step 3

Roll the resulting layer into a roll and tie it with kitchen twine.

Step 4

Wrap the roll in bacon slices and place it in a preheated oven at 390°F for 30–35 minutes, reducing the temperature to 355°F, basting the roll with the juices that are released periodically.

Step 5

Remove the roll, take off the bacon, remove the twine, slice the roll at an angle, and garnish with herbs and the same bacon.
