Description

In this recipe, I prefer using a blender — the creamy texture keeps the meatballs from falling apart during cooking. Recipe by John.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 20 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Corn Starch 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame Oil 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar Substitute to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Take the turkey fillet, rinse, dry, and cut into small pieces.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut it into several pieces; crush the garlic into the mixing bowl.

Step 3

In a blender or meat grinder, chop the turkey and onion in batches. Transfer to the bowl with garlic, season with salt and pepper. Crack one egg into the mixture and stir. If you plan to make the meatballs with an Asian or Indian twist, you can add the appropriate spices.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick skillet without oil. I use a crepe pan for this purpose — it works great! At this stage, you can either finish cooking by simply frying the formed meatballs or go further.

Step 5

Using a fork, your hands, or however you prefer, shape the mixture into balls and lightly fry them until a nice brown crust forms. Prepare a sauce or use a ready-made one (in this case, I use lemon Blue Dragon).

Step 6

For the lemon sauce, mix lemon juice, liquid sugar substitute, salt, sesame oil (a drop for aroma), broth, and 0.5 teaspoon of cornstarch, pepper. Simmer in a saucepan for a few minutes until thickened.

Step 7

Transfer the fried meatballs to the saucepan and, mixing with the sauce, cook until done.
