Turkey Breast Steaks

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 15 oz
  • Oranges 2 pieces
  • Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
  • Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Nutmeg ½ teaspoon
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Orange zest 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Rub the spice mixture all over the steaks and let them marinate for 30 minutes. Pat the prepared steaks dry with paper towels and lightly season with salt to taste.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a skillet and quickly sear the steaks over high heat until golden brown (2–3 minutes on each side). Reduce the heat and cook the steaks until done. Transfer the meat to a plate.

Step 3

Drain all the oil from the skillet.

Step 4

Wash the oranges, dry them, remove the zest, and cut it into thin strips. Squeeze the juice from the oranges.

Step 5

Pour the orange juice into the skillet with the remaining oil, bring to a boil. Stirring, add the sugar and orange zest. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.

Step 6

Add the steaks to the sauce, turning them a few times to coat them evenly, while not allowing the sauce to thicken too much.

Step 7

Place the steaks on a plate, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with strips of zest.
