Description

Turkey and Vegetable Shawarma

Ingredients

  • Turkey 10 oz
  • Green Papaya 5 oz
  • Tomatoes 2 pieces
  • Sweet Red Onion 2 pieces
  • Courgette 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Green Butter 2 leaves
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Mayonnaise 0 oz
  • Armenian Lavash 2 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the homemade mayonnaise with the minced garlic and let it infuse.

Step 2

Fry the ground turkey with salt and pepper in a small amount of oil.

Step 3

Finely shred the cabbage and slice the onion into thin half-rings.

Step 4

Combine the cabbage with the onion and mash with salt and pepper. Let it infuse.

Step 5

Slice the tomatoes into thin wedges and the cucumber into very thin rounds.

Step 6

Cut the lavash into 2 parts. Spread mayonnaise on each. Place half a leaf of lettuce on top.

Step 7

Leaving a two-finger space from the edge of the lavash, place the ground turkey (as much as you deem necessary, but do not overfill, or you won't be able to wrap the shawarma).

Step 8

Top with the cabbage and onion mixture, then the tomatoes, and then the cucumbers.

Step 9

Carefully wrap it up, tucking in the sides to create a closed shawarma.

Step 10

Make 4 pieces (you may get more depending on the amount of ground turkey used).

Step 11

Let them soak for about 20 minutes in a bag, then lightly heat in the microwave. Serve!
