Description

Trout baked with potatoes

Ingredients

  • Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
  • Olive Oil 0 fl oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Garlic 2 pieces
  • Trout 0 lbs
  • Hard Cheese 5 oz
  • 10% cream 10 fl oz
  • Oregano 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Grease a baking dish with olive oil, arrange the potatoes, and season with salt.

Step 2

Mix the butter with the garlic (crushed through a garlic press). Spread it over the potatoes.

Step 3

Cut the trout into random pieces and place them on top of the potatoes. Season with salt.

Step 4

Grate cheese over the trout.

Step 5

For the sauce, mix the cream, salt, pepper, and finely chopped fresh oregano. Dried oregano can be used as a substitute.

Step 6

Pour the sauce over everything. Don't worry if it doesn't cover all the layers. During cooking, everything will settle, and the fish will release juices, increasing the liquid.

Step 7

Cover the dish with foil and place it in the oven for 40–45 minutes at a temperature of 180–390°F. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until golden brown.
