Tomatoes with Ricotta
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese 20 oz
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Ham 5 oz
- Leek 0 oz
- Ground Breadcrumbs 4 spoons
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Thyme 2 stalks
- Olive Oil 4 spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the tomatoes in half, carefully scoop out the flesh with a spoon, and chop it finely.
Step 2
Slice the ham into small pieces, cut the leek into thin rings, and mince the garlic.
Step 3
Combine the tomato flesh with ricotta cheese, then add the ham, onion, garlic, and 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
Step 4
Stuff the tomato halves with the prepared filling, sprinkle with the remaining breadcrumbs and thyme leaves, drizzle with oil, and place in a preheated oven at 375°F for 25–30 minutes.
