Description
Tender squid in cream sauce
Ingredients
- Squid 4 pieces
- Sour Cream 2 spoons
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Butter 1½ spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thaw the squid and clean them by removing the insides.
Step 2
Place in boiling salted water for just 2–3 minutes, until they turn pale and the skin shrinks! Remove from the water and let cool slightly. Use a knife to scrape off the remaining shriveled skin. Cut the bodies into thin strips.
Step 3
Place a skillet over the heat, and once it is well heated, add the butter, let it melt, and then add the squid.
Step 4
Quickly sauté them over high heat for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
The pieces of squid should curl up, and any liquid (if there was any) should evaporate.
Step 6
Sprinkle everything with flour and quickly mix it, allowing the flour to lightly toast for about 10 to 20 seconds. Then, add the sour cream and pour in boiling water to nearly cover the squid. Reduce the heat and cover with a lid.
Step 7
Sauté for a minute, then add a little salt, season generously with pepper, mix well, and cook for another minute. Turn off the heat.
