Tender Salmon with Aromatic Spices
Main Dishes • European
Description
I'm on a diet — this dish is perfect for those looking to lose weight))) Healthy, delicious, and simple))) I use a pre-made shashlik spice mix — I go to the local market in Novosibirsk, find a stall run by sun-kissed people with brown eyes and a southern accent, and say: "Shashlik spice mix, please"; in response, I hear: "Sure thing, peach, I'll get it ready for you!". I buy the ready mix, which contains spices like curry, khmeli-suneli, various peppers, etc., and happily head off to cook. I recommend using soy sauce without any additives, like mushroom or garlic; just the classic one works perfectly. The steak turns out very tender and juicy. It pairs perfectly with rice and a salad of tomatoes and cucumbers.
Ingredients
- Smoked haddock fillet 10 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 5 teaspoons
- Shish kebab spice mix 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce 2 teaspoons
- Ground coriander a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the salmon thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 2
Next, marinate the steak: coat it on both sides with the ground coriander and black pepper mix, then add the shashlik spice mix.
Step 3
Then transfer the aromatic steak to a deeper dish, squeeze in the lemon juice, and add the soy sauce. Let the fish sit for 15 minutes.
Step 4
After that, place the steak on a baking sheet, sprinkle with a pinch of coriander, and put it in the oven on the middle rack at 355°F for 25–30 minutes.
