Tender halibut in coconut milk
Ingredients
- Halibut 20 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Meyer Lemon Juice to taste
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Coconut Milk 10 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Spices to taste
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Onion 1 head
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a little oil in a skillet, add spices, and sauté for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Then mix the flavored oil with ginger, minced garlic, salt, and lemon juice.
Step 3
You should get a thick paste.
Step 4
Marinate the halibut in the cooled paste for about 30 minutes.
Step 5
Slice the onion into thin half-rings, lightly sauté it in vegetable oil, then add the fish and cook for another 5 minutes over low heat.
Step 6
Then pour coconut milk into the skillet and simmer the fish for approximately 15 more minutes.
Step 7
Serve with a side of rice.
