Tender Creamy Squid on the Grill Pan
Ingredients
- Squid 4 pieces
- Semi-soft cream cheese 4 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Mustard Greens 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 0 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 1 tablespoon
- Uchiko Suneli 0.3 teaspoons
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix to taste
- Microgreens 1 sprig
- Lemon 2 slices
- Turmeric to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a deep bowl, mix the oil and soy sauce.
Step 2
Add the garlic, pressed through a garlic press.
Step 3
Then add the mustard.
Step 4
Mix well.
Step 5
Rinse the squid, clean, and pat dry.
Step 6
Make cuts on only one side.
Step 7
Stuff each squid with cream cheese (1 tablespoon per piece). Lightly season with turmeric.
Step 8
Place the squids on a hot grill pan greased with olive oil. Pour the prepared sauce on top.
Step 9
Season with chili pepper.
Step 10
Add a couple of lemon slices to the dry spots on the pan.
Step 11
Once the bottom side of the squid is browned, flip it over and sprinkle with uchiko suneli.
Step 12
After 3–5 minutes, transfer the squids and lemon to a plate and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 13
When serving, drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with microgreens.
