Tender chicken patties with ptitim
Ingredients
- Poultry 15 oz
- Onion 5 oz
- White bread 5 oz
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Dill 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Cucumbers 5 oz
- Couscous 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the ptitim in boiling salted water with a little olive oil for 15 minutes, then drain the water.
Step 2
Remove the crust from the bread, tear it into small pieces, pour the cream over it, mash thoroughly with a spoon, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop the onion, cut the chicken into small pieces, and finely chop the dill without stems (set aside 2 sprigs of dill for garnish).
Step 4
Squeeze out the bread; pass the bread, meat, onion, and dill through a meat grinder, season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
Form small patties with a diameter of 3–4 cm and a height of 1 cm.
Step 6
Fry the patties in sunflower oil over medium heat for 2.5 minutes on each side.
Step 7
Before serving, mix the butter into the warm ptitim, place the patties on top, and serve with sliced cucumber.
