Sweet pilaf with pumpkin and fruits
Ingredients
- Rice 1½ cups
- Pumpkin 20 oz
- Quince 5 oz
- Apple 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the fresh apples and quince, remove the seeds, cut into small cubes, and mix with the rinsed raisins.
Step 2
In a pot, melt some of the butter, cover the bottom with slices of pumpkin, peeled and seeded, sprinkle 1/3 of the rinsed rice over the pumpkin, add a layer of the fruit mixture, cover with more rice, add more fruits, and top with the remaining rice. Drizzle with the remaining butter and pour in salted water just enough to cover the top layer of rice.
Step 3
Cover the pot with a lid and cook the pilaf on low heat for one hour.
