
Sweet Pilaf with Dried Fruits and Nuts

Ingredients
- Basmati rice 2 cups
- Water 4 cups
- Light Raisins, Seedless 0 oz
- Dried parsnip 1 piece
- Light Raisins, Seedless 0 oz
- Dried Apricots 0 oz
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Hazelnut 0 oz
- Honey 4 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice and place it in a pot with boiling water, cooking until done. Drain the rice in a colander and rinse with cold water to maintain its structure.
Step 2
Finely chop the dried persimmon and dried apricots. Lightly crush the nuts in a mortar. Soak all the dried fruits and nuts in water for about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Melt the butter and half of the honey in a skillet. Sauté the dried fruits with the nuts. After 5 minutes, add the rice. Cook for another 5–8 minutes. Remove from heat and let the pilaf sit covered for 8 minutes.
Step 4
Before serving, drizzle the pilaf with the remaining honey.
