Description
Traditionally, Swedish meatballs are served with mashed potatoes and lingonberries.
Ingredients
- Pork Mince 15 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Breadcrumbs 5 oz
- Dill 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 2 spoons
- Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a bowl, combine the minced meat with the egg, grated onion, breadcrumbs, dill, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into small balls the size of a walnut, about 20 pieces.
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the meatballs. If the skillet is too small, cook them in two batches. Transfer the meatballs to a plate.
Step 3
Add oil to the skillet, then add flour and mix. Cook for 2 minutes, then gradually pour in the broth while whisking. Once the sauce begins to thicken, add the browned meatballs. Heat everything together and serve.
