  • Cornish Hen 2 pieces
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Ground clove 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel and slice the garlic thinly.

Step 2

Wash and dry the hens.

Step 3

Rub the bodies with salt inside and out.

Step 4

Place sprigs of thyme inside each hen.

Step 5

Make small cuts in the skin and stuff the hens with garlic.

Step 6

Brush the bodies with honey, then rub them with pepper and cloves, prick with a sharp fork, and let sit for 30 minutes.

Step 7

Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat and fry the hens for about 20 minutes, turning constantly to ensure even cooking.

Step 8

The hens are ready when the meat easily separates from the bones. They can also be roasted in the oven.
