Stuffed Zucchini with Meat
Ingredients
- Courgette 6 pieces
- Meat 20 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Pork fat 2 tablespoons
- White bread 1 slice
- Long-Grain Rice 2 tablespoons
- Dill 3 sprigs
- Hard Cheese 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pass the meat through a meat grinder along with a slice of bread that has been soaked in water and squeezed out. In melted lard in a skillet, sauté the finely chopped onion with the pre-cooked rice until half-done, and the tomatoes, previously peeled. Then add the meat and fry until cooked through.
Step 2
Cut the zucchini in half, remove any damaged skin, but do not remove it completely. Remove the seeds. Chop the dill.
Step 3
On each half of the zucchini, place the filling, sprinkle with grated cheese and dill. Arrange the zucchini in a baking dish and bake at 390°F for about 25–30 minutes, until the surface of the filling is golden brown and the zucchini are tender.
