Stuffed River Trout
Ingredients
- Trout 6 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Lemon 2 pieces
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Sumac 12 teaspoons
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- White Pepper (whole) to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Crush the garlic into a paste and rub it onto the skin and the cleaned belly of the fish. The paste should not cover the fish with a thick layer — it's only meant for flavor.
Step 2
Season the trout with salt and pepper, then stuff it with a mixture of sumac and crushed walnuts, using one tablespoon of filling for each fish.
Step 3
Place the trout on a baking sheet, sprinkle with the remaining sumac and nut mixture, drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice and olive oil.
Step 4
Place the fish in an oven preheated to 355°F for ten to twelve minutes.
