Stuffed Potatoes with Melted Cheese and Smoked Meats
Main Dishes • Russian
Description
It is important to choose potatoes for this dish that bake quickly and do not fall apart in texture. I have a variety with pink skin. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the different types.
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
- Pork fat 0 oz
- Melted Cheese 5 oz
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the potatoes. Cut them in half.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Cut the pork fat into thin slices. Place the potato halves on the baking sheet, season with salt and pepper. Top with pork fat. If you don't like this product, butter or vegetable oil will work well.
Step 3
Send to an oven preheated to 375°F (375 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake until the potatoes are fully cooked. Allow to cool slightly, then scoop out the insides with a spoon. Be careful not to damage the skin.
Step 4
Season the scooped-out part with a little salt and pepper.
Step 5
Grate the melted cheese, and dice the smoked meat into small cubes. Mix these two ingredients with the mashed potato.
Step 6
Stuff the potato halves with the resulting filling.
Step 7
I prepared this in batches, so I stored them in the refrigerator in this form. Before serving, reheat the halves on full power in the microwave.
