Striploin steak with spicy herbs
Ingredients
- Striploin steak 10 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Herbes de Provence ½ teaspoon
- Pink Himalayan Salt to taste
- Mixed Ground Peppers to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Let the steak 'breathe' for about 5–10 minutes at room temperature.
Step 2
Melt the butter for the sauce.
Step 3
Add the mixed peppers.
Step 4
Add the Herbes de Provence.
Step 5
Mix thoroughly.
Step 6
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and place the steak in it. Sear for 3 minutes on high heat.
Step 7
Flip the steak onto the fatty edge and sear for another 2 minutes.
Step 8
Flip the steak onto the unseared side. Lower the heat slightly and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Step 9
Flip the steak onto the second edge. Sear for 2 minutes.
Step 10
Warm the plate for the steak in the microwave.
Step 11
Slice the seared steak into medallions.
Step 12
Place on the plate.
Step 13
Add the sauce.
Step 14
Sprinkle with pink salt.
Step 15
Garnish with herbs and serve.
