Stewed Potatoes with Carrots and Spices
Ingredients
- Onion 1 piece
- Salad Potatoes 5 pieces
- Turnips 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
- Water 15 fl oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 50 oz
- Bay leaf 2 pieces
- Tarragon to taste
- Thyme to taste
- Ocean salt 0 oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Paprika 2 teaspoons
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the oil in a large pot and add the chopped onion. Sauté for a few minutes.
Step 2
Then add the diced potatoes.
Step 3
Pour water over the potatoes (the amount of water should cover one or two parts of the potatoes depending on the pot used).
Step 4
Add the chopped carrots, bay leaf, tarragon, sweet pepper, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Step 5
Stew for about 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 6
Dissolve the flour in cold water. Add it to the vegetables.
Step 7
Add the tomatoes to the vegetables. If you prefer a smooth consistency, use a blender for the tomatoes.
Step 8
Stir and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
Sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs, depending on your preference.
