Ingredients
- Trout 10 oz
- Ocean salt to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix to taste
- Lemon 1 piece
- Dried cranberries with sugar 10 oz
- Honey 3 spoons
- Lime 1 piece
- Water 1 glass
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the trout (2 portion-sized pieces) in a steamer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Pour water into a pot, add 2-3 tablespoons of honey, and bring to a boil. Then, add the cranberries.
Step 3
Zest half a lemon and a whole lime. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon and a whole lime. Add the zest and juice to a pot with the cranberries. Cook, mashing the cranberries, for about 15 minutes. Strain the finished sauce through a sieve until smooth.
Step 4
Serve the fish hot with sauce and a slice of lemon. As a side dish for the trout, you can serve fresh vegetables or steamed Brussels sprouts.
Step 5
You can also grill the fish. Serve it with cranberry sauce and grilled Brussels sprouts.
