Description
To ensure that the cabbage transforms into a standalone dish while cooking, you can boil chicken broth instead of water in the pot. Once the cabbage is ready, reduce the broth in the pot until thickened, then add 1–2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley to the liquid. Simmer for a couple more minutes, then drizzle this sauce over the cabbage before serving.

Step 1
Cut a 900-gram head of cabbage in half through the core, then cut the halves into wedges. Trim the core but ensure the leaves remain intact.
Step 2
In a large pot, bring water to a boil, place a colander on top, and put the cabbage cut side up in it. Steam over boiling water for 15 minutes.
