Description

Spicy trout with cucumber

Ingredients

  • Fillet of Sturgeon 30 oz
  • Yogurt powder 5 fl oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Ginger 0 oz
  • Ground Cumin 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Cayenne Pepper 0,1 teaspoons
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi 2 spoons
  • Olive Oil 5 fl oz
  • Cucumbers 2 pieces
  • Cilantro ½ bunches

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Finely chop the cilantro, peel and finely chop the ginger. Mix half of the ginger with the cilantro, yogurt, curry, cumin, and cayenne pepper.

Step 2

Marinate the fish in the yogurt mixture. This should take at least four hours, or preferably overnight. Occasionally, turn the fish to the other side.

Step 3

Cut the cucumbers into matchsticks and mix them with the remaining ginger, vinegar, and cilantro. Season with pepper to taste. This will be a side dish.

Step 4

Remove excess marinade from the fish. Preheat a large grill pan, brush it with oil, and sear the fillets on it. Each side will take about six minutes — this will give a nice crust on the outside while keeping the flesh slightly translucent inside.

Step 5

Place the fish on a plate along with the cucumbers.
