Ingredients
- Toasted Cumin Seeds ¾ teaspoon
- Coriander essential oil ¾ teaspoon
- Ajwain ½ teaspoon
- Cardamom 3 pieces
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Ground clove 2 pieces
- Natural Yogurt 3 tablespoons
- Grated Ginger Root 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Chili Flakes ¼ teaspoon
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Smoked haddock fillet 0 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a skillet, mix cumin, coriander, ajwain, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, and cinnamon. Place over medium heat and toast for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Let cool and grind in a coffee grinder.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the ground spices, yogurt, ginger, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic. Transfer to a plastic bag and add the cut salmon. Mix well, seal the bag, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Step 3
Preheat the grill or barbecue.
Step 4
Thread pieces of fish onto skewers and grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
