  • Milk 1½ cups
  • Breadcrumbs 1 cup
  • Pasta (corkscrew) 5 oz
  • Cheshire Cheese 1½ cups
  • Egg white 3 pieces
  • Pimento ¼ cup
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
  • Onion ¼ head
  • Salt ¾ teaspoon
  • Butter 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a large pot, bring the milk to a boil and remove from heat. Add the breadcrumbs to the milk, stir, let the breadcrumbs soften, and immediately add the grated cheddar cheese. Cover the pot and wait for the cheese to melt.

Step 2

Add the previously cooked pasta (any type, such as noodles or penne), the egg yolk beaten with salt, as well as the pimento, parsley, grated onion, and melted butter. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Whip the egg whites until they form soft peaks, pour them into the prepared mixture, and mix everything again.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into a baking dish (1.5 liters capacity) and place it in an oven preheated to 345°F. Bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
