- Buckwheat Groats 1½ cups
- Onion 2 heads
- Parsnip 2 pieces
- Parsley 0 oz
- Sour Cream ½ cup
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel and wash the onion.
Step 2
Peel, wash, and chop the parsnips.
Step 3
Bring 1 liter of water to a boil, add salt, add the onion and parsnip, and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Wash and chop the parsley.
Step 5
Add the rinsed buckwheat to the pot with the vegetables and cook on low heat, stirring until the buckwheat is fully cooked.
Step 6
Then remove the onion, take the porridge off the heat, season with pepper, add the parsley, sour cream, and butter, and let it sit covered for 15 minutes.
