Simple Falafel
Main Dishes • Arabian
Description
A minimalist option for those who are trying to cook and are likely eating falafel for the first time in their lives and, for example, are afraid of frying. The only spice used is essential cumin. Instead of frying, the oven is used, so strictly speaking, this is not exactly falafel, but chickpea patties.
Ingredients
- Chickpea 5 oz
- Onion ½ heads
- Toasted Cumin Seeds 1 tablespoon
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Vegetable Oil 5 teaspoons
- Spices to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In the pre-soaked chickpeas, add spices (cumin is essential, the rest is up to your preference), a generous amount of onion, salt, parsley or cilantro, and oil.
Step 2
Blend until smooth.
Step 3
Shape the patties (if they don't hold together well, you can add a little flour).
Step 4
Place in the oven for 30 minutes at 355°F.
Step 5
Remove from the oven and enjoy.
