
Shrimp with Greek Yogurt, Garlic, and Cilantro

Description
The yogurt sauce with cilantro is perfect not only for fried shrimp but also for chicken skewers. Instead of cilantro, mint leaves can be added to the sauce. Store in the refrigerator for no more than 6 hours.
Ingredients
- Cilantro 0 oz
- Natural Yogurt 5 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 4½ tablespoons
- Garlic 1½ cloves
- Cayenne Pepper 0.3 teaspoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp 25 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the shrimp in cold running water and pat dry.
Step 2
Finely chop the cilantro leaves, crush the garlic, and squeeze the juice from the lemon.
Step 3
For the sauce, mix Greek yogurt, cilantro, 2½ tablespoons of lemon juice, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Add ½ teaspoon of salt and mix thoroughly. Let it sit covered at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Combine olive oil with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Drizzle this mixture over the peeled shrimp with tails, sprinkle with salt (¼ teaspoon or to taste), mix well, and let sit for a few minutes.
Step 5
Place the shrimp in a preheated skillet and sauté over high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Before serving, drizzle the shrimp with the yogurt sauce. White rice can be served as a side dish.
