Shrimp Meatballs
Main Dishes • European
Description
Recipe taken from a book titled 'Seafood. Very Simple'.
Ingredients
- Shrimp 20 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Starch film 0 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 15 fl oz
- Cayenne Pepper 0 oz
- Sodium glutamate 0.1 teaspoons
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Season the shrimp meat with salt, place it on a cutting board, and chop it into small pieces the size of a grain of rice.
Step 2
Transfer to a plate, add the beaten egg, starch, monosodium glutamate, and mix well.
Step 3
In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil to 285°F (do not heat it too much, otherwise the water will evaporate from the shrimp mixture, making the meatballs tough).
Step 4
Form the prepared mixture into meatballs weighing about 25 grams each (you should get approximately 20 pieces), drop them into the hot oil, and fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring until golden yellow, then transfer to a plate.
Step 5
Serve with tomato sauce, ground hot pepper, and salt for dipping the meatballs.
