Shrimp and Salami Stew
Ingredients
- King Prawns 10 oz
- Spicy salami 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Celery stalk 1 piece
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Rice ½ cup
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- TABASCO® to taste
- Salt to taste
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel, rinse, and dry the shrimp.
Step 2
Dice the onion and garlic, and chop the pepper, tomatoes, and celery into small pieces.
Step 3
Cook the rice in salted water until ready, then drain in a colander.
Step 4
Slice the salami into 3–5 mm thick pieces and sauté in olive oil for 2–3 minutes, then add the onion and cook over medium heat for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 5
Next, add the pepper and celery, and sauté for another 3–5 minutes.
Step 6
Add the garlic and shrimp, and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 7
Add the tomatoes and rice, season with salt and TABASCO® to taste, and simmer over medium heat, stirring, for 3–5 minutes.
Step 8
When serving, garnish with parsley or celery leaves.
