Shepherd's Pie with Beef and Tomatoes with Oregano
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 5 oz
- Lean Beef 5 oz
- Scallions 1 piece
- Tomato Puree 8 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Cream 2 tablespoons
- Oregano 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- TABASCO® to taste
- Salt to taste
- Thyme 2 sprigs
- White Pepper (whole) to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Steam the potatoes for 25–30 minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, season the ground beef with green onion, olive oil, salt, pepper, and TABASCO® sauce.
Step 3
When the potatoes are ready, peel them and mash with a fork, adding butter and cream.
Step 4
Layer the 'pies' in cups, starting with a layer of beef, followed by a layer of tomato puree.
Step 5
Sprinkle with oregano and top with a layer of mashed potatoes, then repeat all layers. Cover the cups with lids. Steam for 30–35 minutes. Just before serving, remove the lids from the cups and add a bit of tomato puree and a small sprig of thyme to each.
