Shanghai Duck Breast
Ingredients
- Duck Skin 10 oz
- Honey 2 teaspoons
- Garam Masala 0 oz
- Soy Sauce 0 fl oz
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 2 heads
- Lemon ½ piece
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Toasted Sesame 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Let the duck meat sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Pour the soy sauce into a deep bowl.
Step 3
Add olive oil to the sauce.
Step 4
Season with ground ginger.
Step 5
Add the curry spice.
Step 6
Add honey.
Step 7
Add lemon juice and mix well.

Remove seeds from the chili pepper. Cut the pepper lengthwise.

Add the chili to the sauce. It will enhance the flavor with spiciness.

Peel the garlic.

Press the garlic into the sauce using a garlic press.

Mix vigorously.

Cut the duck breast into pieces about 1.5–2 cm wide.

Add the pieces of fillet to the sauce.

Mix and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Place the duck on a dry, hot skillet. Sear over high heat.

Sprinkle the meat with sesame seeds.

Once the pieces are browned, flip them.

After a couple of minutes, flip the meat again, reduce the heat, and cover with a lid. Cook for about 7 more minutes.
