Sautéed chickpeas with spinach
Ingredients
- Chickpea 5 oz
- Fresh basil leaves 1 glass
- Garlic 1 clove
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Red Long Chili Peppers ¼ spoons
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the chickpeas for several hours. Then drain the water and rinse.
Step 2
Finely chop the garlic and roughly chop the spinach.
Step 3
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until golden brown.
Step 4
Add the chickpeas, bell pepper, salt, and half a cup of water. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10–15 minutes until cooked (the water should evaporate and the chickpeas should take on a golden-brown color).
Step 5
Turn off the heat, add the spinach to the skillet, cover with a lid, and let it sit for another 1–2 minutes.
