Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
  • Shallot 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
  • Campbell's Beef Broth 15 fl oz
  • Salad Potatoes 5 lbs
  • Dijon Mustard 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Pork Skewers 8 pieces
  • Chinese green beans 15 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until softened. Add the flour and cook for 30 seconds. Increase the heat, pour in the wine and broth, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add the mustard, reduce the heat to low, and keep warm until the sausages and mashed potatoes are ready.

Step 2

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, return to the pot, and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 120 g of butter. Mash until smooth and season with salt.

Step 3

When the mashed potatoes are ready, heat the remaining olive oil in the skillet and fry the sausages until browned.

Step 4

Bring lightly salted water to a boil in a pot, add the green beans, and cook for 4 minutes until tender. Add the remaining butter to the sauce, season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

On each plate, place a serving of mashed potatoes topped with sausages and sauce. Arrange the green beans alongside.
