- Sardines 5 lbs
- Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
- Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
- Lemon ½ piece
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
- Breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the oil into a baking dish. Lightly season the fish with salt on both sides and arrange in the dish in a single layer. Drizzle with wine and lemon juice, sprinkle with parsley and breadcrumbs, and top with pieces of butter.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Bake, occasionally basting the fish with the oil and juices, for 15 minutes until cooked through (the flesh should easily flake apart). Serve immediately without removing from the dish.
