Salmon Steak with Orange
Ingredients
- Salmon 1 piece
- Rosemary 1 sprig
- Oranges 0.3 pieces
- Lime 1 wedge
- Fish Oil to taste
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Detach the skin from one end of the steak and wrap that end inside.
Step 2
Wrap the second part around the fish, cover with the detached piece of skin, and tie with cooking twine.
Step 3
Slice the orange into half circles. You will need 1 wedge of lime.
Step 4
In a heated pan, place the orange slices.
Step 5
Once the bottom side is browned, flip them over. Add the sprig of rosemary on top.
Step 6
Place the steak on top. Sear for 3–4 minutes.
Step 7
Brush the steak with soy sauce.
Step 8
Squeeze the juice from the orange wedge onto the steak.
Step 9
Remove the orange pieces and flip the steak. Keep the rosemary nearby.
Step 10
Add the fish seasoning. Sear for another 3–4 minutes.
Step 11
Squeeze the juice from the lime wedge onto the steak.
Step 12
Flip and reduce the heat.
Step 13
Cover with a lid and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Step 14
Transfer to a serving dish.
Step 15
Garnish with orange slices, add herbs, and serve.
