Salmon Ghee
Ingredients
- Salmon 10 oz
- Bacon 3 pieces
- Shallot 1 head
- Brussels Sprouts 10 oz
- Apple 1 piece
- Ghee 1 tablespoon
- Coconut Milk 1 tablespoon
- Avocado 1 piece
- Dill 1 bunch
- Basil 1 bunch
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Pink Himalayan Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Grated Lemon Zest 1 tablespoon
- Rosemary 1 sprig
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare bowls for pre-preparation and a large frying pan. Boil the salmon, cool it, and break it into pieces.
Step 2
Finely chop the shallot.
Step 3
Separate the Brussels sprouts into florets.
Step 4
Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into large pieces.
Step 5
Peel the avocado, remove the pit, and cut it into cubes.
Step 6
Chop the dill, basil, and parsley.
Step 7
Melt 1 tablespoon of ghee in a large frying pan, add the sprig of rosemary and 3 slices of bacon. Fry the bacon on both sides over medium heat for 5–6 minutes until crispy. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel, cool, and crumble it.
Step 8
In the same pan, add the finely chopped shallot and fry for 2–3 minutes until soft. Add the chopped Brussels sprouts and cover with a lid for 3 minutes. Then remove the lid and continue frying the sprouts for another 2–3 minutes, stirring, until they become crispy.
Step 9
Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, the pieces of salmon and apple, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes.
Step 10
Serve the dish in portions, adding the avocado cubes, sprinkling with crumbled bacon, lemon zest, and a mixture of dill, basil, and parsley.
