Description

I love to eat Salisbury steak with fettuccine Alfredo.

Ingredients

  • Lean Beef 30 oz
  • Breadcrumbs ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • English Dry Mustard 1½ teaspoons
  • Bouillon cube 1 piece
  • Ketchup 2 tablespoons
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Corn Starch 1 teaspoon
  • Campbell's Beef Broth 1 cup
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Thinly slice the onion (into rings).

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, dry mustard, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, crushed beef bouillon cube, and half of the ketchup.

Step 3

Knead the mixture.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into oval patties.

Step 5

In a skillet, heat some oil and place the patties in the oil. Fry over medium heat for 4 minutes on each side.

Step 6

Transfer the fried patties from the skillet to a plate.

Step 7

Add the thinly sliced onion to the skillet and sauté until golden brown over medium heat.

Step 8

Then add the beef broth and the remaining ketchup to the skillet.

Step 9

Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of broth.

Step 10

Add it to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 4–5 minutes until the liquid has evaporated almost completely, leaving a thick sauce with pieces of onion.

Step 11

Return the patties to the skillet.

Step 12

Drizzle them with the sauce from the skillet and cook for another 2–3 minutes.

Step 13

Remove from heat and serve with your favorite side dish.
