Description

Roman-Style Meat Casserole

Ingredients

  • Beef 10 oz
  • Fat 5 oz
  • Pork Blood 10 oz
  • White bread 0 oz
  • Onion 0 oz
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Breadcrumbs 0 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak the bread in water and lightly squeeze it out. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in the fat. Cut the prepared meat and pass it through a meat grinder along with the bread. Add the egg, sautéed onion, pepper, salt, and knead until a homogeneous mass is formed, from which shape a loaf on a board sprinkled with breadcrumbs.

Step 2

Heat the fat in a baking dish, place the loaf in it, and put it in a hot oven. Bake for 40–50 minutes, basting with the sauce from the dish, adding water if necessary.

Step 3

Slice the baked meat, arrange it on a plate, and pour over the sauce that has formed during baking. Mustard sauce can be used.
