
Roasted Goose or Duck with Apples

Description
Duck can be prepared in the same way with apples. Goose and duck, not stuffed with apples, are roasted similarly. Baked apples, stewed cabbage, buckwheat porridge (fluffy) or potatoes can be served as a side dish.
Ingredients
- Goose fat 1 piece
- Apple 70 oz
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Stuff the prepared goose with apples, cored and cut into wedges. Sew the opening in the belly with thread.
Step 2
Place the goose on its back in a frying pan, add 120 ml of water, and put it in the oven to roast. During roasting, the goose should be basted several times with the melted fat and juice. Roast the goose for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Step 3
Remove the threads from the cooked goose, scoop out the apples with a spoon, place them on a dish, carve the goose, and lay it on top of the apples.
