Rice with Peanut Butter
Ingredients
- Basmati rice 10 oz
- Peanut Butter 1½ teaspoons
- Onion 1 head
- Salt 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat a skillet over medium heat, pour in vegetable oil, and sauté the onion for 3–4 minutes. Add the rice and stir. Pour in 570 ml of boiling water, season with salt and pepper, stir, and cover with a lid. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes without opening the lid or stirring at all.
Step 2
Remove the skillet from the heat, open the lid, and before serving the dish, place a clean kitchen towel on top.
Step 3
Transfer the rice to a serving dish, fluffing it gently with a fork.
